W124- Replacing, Removing or Upgrading the Speakers
Ever wanted to replace those factory speakers with new ones? Well you might consider to do just that anyways after reading this article. It´s fairly easy and there is a lot of different speaker combinations out there that you can implement easily. Also if you live in a very sunny and warm climate, you might be in for a little surprise regarding your speakers already installed.

You will just need a small phillips screwdriver and a dull knife or something similar to pry out the plastic strips that covers the screws.

Start at the rear. These strips break easily and you might want to buy a second pair to keep on hand. Mine just broke of half of one clip so it wasn´t too bad. They´re wedged into place in the front near the windscreen and you just pull them out there. This is how the strip itself looks like.
