"Subsidised fuel is currently enjoyed by all motorists, including luxury vehicle owners and foreigners, which is a strain on government finance," he said when tabling the Budget 2010 in Parliament. Extrapolating from that, it can mean the following: 1. all mycard holders can buy the 1st. 300 or 500 litres at a special price. (the less fortunate using motor bikes may not be able to use up 500 litres within a year) 2. non mycard holders (Thais, S'poreans, Indonesians) will have to buy at the higher rate. This makes very good sense as previously when oil rose to more than USD 100, there were calls to introduce two pumps with different rates at border areas like Bukit Kayu Hitam and Johore to cater to non citizens.
