My 728i had the gaskets changed and clamped back a few years back and it is still going strong ( touch wood ).
But as you said it does bother me somewhere in the back of my mind somedays

Noted and thanks Schenks!

9. Radiator- Leaking at gaskets, can be opened and

Aiyaa...I wish I saw this thread earlier. I notice my Madonna's expansion tank need a refill of about 500ml of water after 2000km travel. Upon inspection, there is a sign of radiator leak.

Cost me RM 850 to replace it with a new BEHR radiator..

That's why lahh...you never asked here in Mybenz first...

Anyway if you still have your old radiator send it for repair and it could be kept for spare or coul;d help others in need of an emergency radiator.....

I have a feeling you would have chucked it....he he he

Right...

That old radiator must be gone by now...

Nevertheless, I believe I made the right decision to replace it as I tend to use Madonna for long distance. Hence for a piece of mind better to change it..

I will remember this for Mandy and Maradona...

Radiator Again

1. alternator Bearing
2 Alternator carbon Or the Voltage regulator
3 Alternator can be recoiled
4 A/C Compressor can be repaired as long as it is not jammed
5. drive shaft- Machine and change bearings and boot
6. FD (based on Jai's experience)
7. Engine.
8. Gearbox
9. Radiator- Leaking at gaskets, can be opened and
refitted with new gaskets and resealed, you will need a Radiator Specialist

10. Leaking at the metal fins/ grill...can be welded by a radiator specialist. They normally cut off the leaking part and en route the water to a different direction. This saves a bundle

There is a radiator specialist located somewhere in Sungai Way but I cant remember the name or the road..you wiill need to ask around
