I also want to sell my W210 E280 V6 2000 facelift model. Also completely refurbished and in excellent condition. As I am now working in Singapore, the car is at my brother's house in JB and I rarely use it unless I go to his house in JB. Such a waste not to use such a fantastic car.

Anyone keen can Whatsapp me at +658797869 as my Celcom number will only be active when I am in JB. I can send pictures to anyone interested.

TQ

It's coming to 2 month after I took possession of Madeline. Other than this small teething issue, the car is a darling to drive...

Have a nice weekend!

Re: Madeline
Alhamdullilah, collected Madeline on Wednesday at Professorís workshop. The fault is at the suspected ECU. What Professor did is to change the correct ECU and reprogrammed the data in the old ECU into the new ECU. Alhamdullilah, the gear change is as smooth as silk.

Moral of the story is when it involves major operation, always asked for a 2nd opinion. Do a research yourself about your car and donít trust everything to your mechanic. In Shaa Allah, from now on I will send Madeline to Professorís workshop.

Re: Madeline
Last weekend on our way back from Tahlil, Madeline's transmission is stuck in 2nd gear. So, I pull over and turn the car off, remove the key and wait 20 seconds and start the car. Unfortunately, this time, Madeline mobility still stuck at the 2nd gear. Even after I left the car over the weekend.

Since Madeline has lots of electronic stuffs inside her, I decided to bring the car to my regular mechanic to clear the TCU and ECU error codes. Unfortunately, this time the error codes remain, and the car is still stuck at 2nd gear. My mechanic suspected it could be the TCU or the ECU and he told me this could be a quick fix. So, I left Madeline with him. Yesterday, he called up to inform me that Madeline requires a new gear box.

I find it hard to believe since the gear change was smooth before I faced the Limp mode symptoms. So, I asked my mechanic to explain to me what he has done to the car. He has done the following...
ē Changed the transmission oil and auto filter.
ē Changed the connector that cause the leak to ECU.
ē Changed the shift plate that cause the TCU error.
ē He said he has narrowed down to the ECU by changing the ECU with a compatible unit after consulting his suppliers.

I told my mechanic that I want a 2nd opinion since changing gear box is an expensive affair. So, I told him to give me the bills what he has done so far, bank him my payment and asked him to arrange a flatbed to carry Madeline to the Professor's work.

Last week, the Limp mode happened again. So I decided to send Madeline to Professor's workshop to get it rectified once for all.

Will update here once the issue is rectified.

Continue sharing my adventure with Madeline.

Recently, we were in Putrajaya to attend a wedding. On our way back, the transmission is stuck in gear.

I did the following after checking the internet. Some suggestions:

1. Pull over and turn the car off.
2. Remove the key.
3. Do not press the gas pedal or any other buttons on the car.
4. Wait 20 seconds.
5. Start the car. *Alhamdullillah the car gear shift is back to normal.*

The internet said, "Your transmission may be back to normal but there may be underlying issues that you need to address. If you ignore them, the car will start going into the limp mode more frequently. Donít forget that first warning! You need to find the reason your transmission is going into limp mode or not shifting."

Based on my findings in the internet, the possible cause could be any of the following..
1. Low Transmission Fluid
2. Transmission wire harness 13-pin (O-ring) connector oil leak/contamination
3. Valve body or conductor plate defective
4. Wonít come out of Park gear due to a defective brake light switch. (DIY How to replace the Brake Light Switch)
5. Defective Shifter Module

Based on my discussion with Professor, in most of the case itís the system communication with the gearbox that could hang for a while. He advise me to continue to monitor and that if this things happen again, try to switch off and pull out the key for 5 seconds than start the car back. Itís been a week now, so far so good.
