Assalam and hi to all members...

Just nak share pengalaman saya..baru2 ni replace water pump. Simptom: Air kat reserve selalu kering..dalam seminggu kene top up..byk jugak..kalau traffic jem lagi la..siap menyala indicator water reserve..Anyway saya buat diagnose sendiri..buka hood, start enjin..check all the hoses sekali penutup spare tangki air..xde yg meleleh atau air keluar.Yg pastinya bunyi kasar pada water pump...then I suspek mesti berpunca dari water pump..sent the car to milan worshop at padang lalang,replace with new water pump (SACHS)...bunyi bising dah hilang dan tiada masalah kekurangan air lagi. Hope this issue boleh jadi rujukan untuk member2 yg lain.

Can you give the approximation of labour charge?

Depends on the workshop...mine is RM150.00..It's a bit pricey..but the job is satisfied.

if the water keep missing,either water pump or the water jacket is the culprit.Not like leaking hoose or loose clip,we can see water dripping down on the floor.. my water pump cost RM420,its more exspensive for M103 engine..

In a way, it's rather fortunate the problem was limited to this one. When you need to add water regularly, it could have been worse, as it was for me recently - water had gotten into the engine due to a blown gasket. Had to do a top overhaul (RM3,500).

My aircon suddenly lost its coldness. Happened before and I only needed to re-start engine. This time it didn't work.

When I reached home, I popped up the bonnet and saw coolant leaking out near alternator - yes, the water pump leaked. And my coolant level indicator did not come on due to faulty switch. Luckily it was not a long journey after the aircon failed, else bye bye to head gasket and more.
