Mercedes Mechanics, AC Man, Wireman, Tireshop Lately the forum has been really informative and helpful, especially with the likes of Dr.Gan sharing his experience and insights with us so openly, we're are very lucky to have a real merc mechanic on board giving real, experiencial advice on the forum. Thank you Dr.Gan.
Having the right mechanic makes all the difference in owning a mercedes, it's not just the price but having someone that is experience that you can trust unquestionably, i.e. if the mechanic diagnose the car and tells you that you need to change your water pump, he's not guessing and that the $$$ that you spend is going to solve the problem once and for all rather than multiple trips coming back changing x, y & z and feeling completely frustrated and helpless. So after many trials and error I am confident that I have a good mechanic, a good A/C mechanic, a good wireman and a good tire shop many thanks to the recommendations from members of the forum. They are all over KL & PJ but the trip is well worth it as I know my problem will get solve professionally & reasonably.

Re: Mercedes Mechanics, AC Man, Wireman, Tireshop 1.Merc Mechanic - Ah Sang @ Wilayah Auto
Very busy mechanic, have to be patient But once you have his attention he give you 100% focus, takes the trouble to take the car for a test drive and supervises the work personally, and best of all I can trust that he'll charge me and the taxi driver that came before me the same reasonable rates. 2. AC Man - Naidu, Jalan Gasing behind Shell I've been looking for a good A/C man for a long time now, I find many A/C mechanics like doing all the simple jobs like topping up Gas and adding some magic lubricant, inevitably the bill always gets rounded up to RM100 even for very simple jobs. Anything more complicated the typical aircon guy will tell you lots of work, gotta dismantle dashboard etc etc. Although this is the first time I've dealt with Naidu, On first impressions he inspired confidence. within 3 minutes of checking my car out he pin pointed my problem. And instead of just doing a quick fix he recommended that I change to a better quality expansion valve, change my "O" rings with BMW original parts, change my receiver drier and his charges were reasonable. It's my first satisfcatory experience with Naidu and I look forward to more feedback from the forum members. 3. Wireman - Mr.Loh Jln Dua (Sg. Besi) These guys know the electrical system of my W124 inside and out. I had a weird electrical problem which cut out my engine whenever the aircon cut off. These guys knew exactly which relays to check, which wires to trace and they were able to clean up the wiring to my W124 which was a complete mess from years of too many ad-hoc work being done. Price wise they are moderate but good value for the hard to solve stuff as they know their stuff. 4. Tire Shop - Simon (Next to Spoon Sport Honda Mechanic Jalan SS3/5) Very competitive prices, does a good job balancing and provides good service.

Hello and Salam Mybenzer, Lately there have been a number of threads discussing about member’s mistreatment when servicing the car. Let’s rise to this occasion in the spirit of 1Mybenzer to meet our Webmaster and Founding member’s aspiration. One of the think that capture me from the above thread is the constant need to reassess this workshop for Mybenzer. I was browsing the Forum and understand this topic has been discussed before. . From my assessment Hoggies’s thread provides a very structure mechanism for us to find the right competence to manage our respective cars in the respective categories. It would be good if all of you can take your time and continue building his thread by providing your respective recommended workshop by states for the respective categories. Hoggies Recommendation : Quote:
I will do my part also within short based on my assessment. For those guy in JB, please include our Grand Sifu, Dr Gan Clinic in your list.

Re: Mercedes Mechanics, AC Man, Wireman, Tireshop OK, let me starts building upon the list that was started by hoggies. This is another alternatives for those staying in Shah Alam area.
1. Merc Mechanic - Centennial Classic S/B 10, Jalan Jemuju 4, 16/13D Section 16, Shah Alam Tel:03-55125378, 0193299398 (Dolmat) I choose this shop since I was staying in Shah Alam and has used his services for both my W124 and W201 since 1998. I was recommended by few of my friends who drives Mercedes. Dolmat runs this workshop. He’s the man you should be looking for at this workshop. He also takes the trouble to take the car for a test drive and supervises the work personally. If you are a regular he also provides breakdown services and collects and sends your car back to your house if you are busy to attend to your car. Rates are reasonable when compare to other shop in Shah Alam. 2. AC Man - Sing Kok Car Air Conditioner No 10, Jalan Toman Dua 17/58B, Seksyen 17, 40200, Shah Alam, Selangor H/P: 0122540032 (Ah Kok) I have used his services over the last 5 years The workshop is located at the round-about Section 17. Direction: If you are coming from Federal Highway take the left exit towards Section 19/20. Follow the route about 3km and keep to the left... you will see round about.. take 3 o'clock. Go about 3 km until you see the see round about, take 9 o'clock go straight about 1km but keep to the right...you will find a junction..take right turn just before the Section 17 round about. Go 50 m turn right and turn right in the 1st junction where you will see a row of shop. The shop is 2nd shop after the motor bike shop. Alternatively give Ah Kok a call before heading towards Shah Alam. He's a nice chap and humble but very reliable. So far he has managed to solve all my air cond issues. It’s not uncommon to see Mercs like W140 and W124, CE owners sending his car to his place. Apparently, I come to know that all air condition related problem send to Dolmat’s Centennial, is send to his shop. I came to realize about this shop when I came to pick my car, only to be inform by Dolmat’s crew that they have not been able to collect the car from an air cond workshop. So they took me to his shop to collect my car. Since than, I have sent the all related problem to his shop. He also has good contact network with chop2 if you need one. Recently, he did a complete change out of my W201 air condition. This includes dismantling and refitting the “new” Big Auto Fan, Denso compressor, Condenser, Blower Unit, 1 set of Hosts, 1 set of Radiator, Labor charges for 3 days work, Cooling Coil and 1 month warranty for about RM 2K including picking and sending back the car services. Both, W124, W201 are PV6 are maintained by him. Nice man and down to earth kind of person. Very services minded personality. 3. Wireman Don’t have anyone specific. Normally let Dolmat sourced this for me. Probably will use hoggie’s suggestion in future. 4. Tire Shop - Chin Heng Tayar/Chin Heng Sdn Bhd The shop is located at the junction of Batu Belah/Kapar (Corner Shop) Chin Heng Tayar/Chin Heng Sdn Bhd. Look for Chong Eu (0123918633), if he's not around he can direct you to his guys over there. Additional attraction, he got some used MB wheels (original MB/AMG) there as well brand new (including replicas). Quite a wide variety of continental wheels. This shop was recommended by Bro Okido when we were trying to help Bro Golfers for his W140 tires. I took his advice and go to this shop personally to check it out. There were alot of tires shop in the vicinity. Met Chong EU mentioned Okido's name. Very helpful and very happy with that trip. Original plan was to change my W201 tyres to Bridgestone... end up with continental tyres. The price in his shop is very competitive. The shop is pretty busy with lots of customers but the staffs are friendly. There is this chinese guy who is from Sarawak. I couldn't believe when Chong (he prefer to be called EU) told me that they are packing 5 continental tyres for him to bring it back to Sarawak....unbelievable... Met also another Malay customer from KL. He has been a patron to this shop for the last 10 years....this says alot about the shop... FYI, my normal tyres shop is Good Year Shah Alam. I can tell you one thing friend, from that day, I have decided to change all my tyres at EU shop. Please add on for your respective area. It's good to have choices... ![]()

Re: Mercedes Mechanics, AC Man, Wireman, Tireshop so far I can share 1 thing only...
Acond specialist... Daud 0122584567 at Meru Klang..(he used to be acond supervisor for Cycle and Carriage...then open up Ditro in Shah Alam with bang Dolmat, together with bang Ishak and few others (founders of Millenium Merc)...but unfortunately Ditro broke up and open his own workshop in Meru) the way he work is that he will diagnose and explain in detail ur a'cond problem and then tell u the charges,negotiable....and he doesnt mind if u want to ask around for 2nd opinion...BUT as I have been his customer for the last 5 years..frankly speaking his charges is the most reasonable and he is the type of person who does his job meticulously... ![]()
