Dear mybenz brother, my w203 this few days always come out
with ESP SENSOR WARNING .While i was driving below 50 KM,the front brake like something stuck n pull the wheel
sound like kooorr ,koooorr,kooor, than i ignore the ESP warning light the car still can driving until i stop n off the engine.Anybody got this experience b4 n hope can soft my problem.thanx.

ESP (Electronic Stability Program) is a system to control
the drive stability such as to prevent oversteer(car turn in more sharply than desired) or understeer(car doesn't turn sharply as desired).This system got related to ABS system,etc.
I think u should send the car to worksyop for checking.
Might be related to braking sensor at front wheel or
just a false alarm.
This is just my opinion.

Thanx hasniz,this morning i had send to mechanic to check it.They notice my left wheel n 18" tyre got problem cause it will touch to my suspension.They sent my car for balancing n alighment.Now problem soft temporary for one day.

I just experience the ESP warning flashed on the display last week. When I refer to the manual book, advice us to try turning the steering to left (lock to lock) and right (lock to lock) . I tried but warning still there. So I siwtched off the engine. While the warning is displayed , I reset it using the reset knob. It works but it come out again after tenth km drive . Next day tried again this method and so far already 2 days warning dissapear. Browse thru internet on the matter , some said due to weak battery, some said due to sensor & ABS. TQ

I had the same problem last year on my 203, the ESP warning light came after just after i changed my wheels to 18"... my mech said by upgrading the tyres to non-standard one will confused the ESP sensor thus damaging it, one of the ESP controlled is "lateral acceleration sensor" (A2095420018) which s part of MB's skid control system. A bad sensor will trigger the "ESP Visit Workshop". I replaced mine for RM900, replacement has to be one of the easiest jobs on this car. The sensor on my 203 is in the trunk, under the centre of the plastic panel in front of the spare tire well. Size of the part is smaller than a match box and cost nearly a 1k.

Aha... got a good info not to go over the limit. I think ought to stick to the recommended size as per the owner's manual. However having thing big cost deeper hole. I rather stay original. Kecil pun tak pa.. he.. he.
