This is the state of the SEC interior at present:





The seats are actually covered with PU rather than leather coz I got kinda fed up trying to keep leather looking pristine whereas these are really easy to look after!

The light brown color matches the original interior color but I wanted the black centre sections on the seats just to be a bit different. There is black piping for the seats and the black bits have brown stitching.

I changed all the carpets to black from light brown but just to be different again used light brown piping.

I know its not to everyone's taste but each to his own i guess..

Now this is where I need help....

Originally the car had walnut wood trim. Now,I have always preferred walnut to zebrano. The wood trim around the gear shift was peeling very badly and my mechanic offered this as a replacement... which is a rather light colored zebrano...



I must confess after it was installed I kinda liked the light zebrano effect!

And then Jaybon found me the ashtray to match as in the pic...

But... only after I had found this piece for the climate control hanging on a wall at Ray's kereta potong. Now I know the feedback about Ray's but the climate control system is so rare here... I just had to buy it!




So....now I have a rather 'rojak' dashboard as far as the wood is concerned. I had a zebrano piece lying around for the right half of the dashboard so had that fitted too but the glovebox and left air-vent are still walnut...




So...the help i need is.... if anyone comes across a nice condition zebrano trim for the W126 glove box and air-vent, PLEASE let me know. I also need the 2 pieces on the door but as the SEC ones are different from the 4 door, i am not that hopeful but that isnt such a problem as I have alternative plans for that...

So...anyone out there kalau stumble across such pieces at kereta potong or elsewhere..please give me a shout..
