“In the end, they waste money by paying thrice – fixing the parts, paying the fine and paying again to remove them,” he said.

Hassan was commenting on the increasing number of motorists fixing televisions and DVD player sets in their vehicles.

On vehicles that are factory fitted with DVD players and GPS navigators, he said the department would have to look into it.


If JPJ could, they will ban these from cars:
1. tv screen
2. dvd player
3. gps navigator

because they are a distraction to the driver

Hmm, since when the driver watch the tv when driving?
Well, I guess you can't use the screen to reverse anymore.

hassan said they are going to look into factory fitted command/navigation system (the last paragraph of the news report)...if they approved the factory fitted ones, that means they are practicing double standard again.

by the way, since they are already having difficulties curbing the simple glaring non-compliance like xenon lights, smoky vehicles, expired road tax and driving or riding without or expired license, i don't think they would be able to distintinguish or differentiate the original command/navigation screens from the aftermarket systems...

That's our main problem. We always have these smart Alex that always comes up with " pretty" bright ideas... with the so called thinking cap...problem always lies with the delivery with the not so smart alex executing it...
