Salam and hello to all sifus,

i'm thinking to lower the car litte bit about 30 to 40 mm from original specs. The question is which brand should i go? I'm trying to make the car look better but do not want to sacrifise its comfort. should i just change the springs and use stock absorbers or better to go with the whole kit? I'm thinking to go either Bilstein + Eibach springs, H&R cup kit or Bilstein kit? How much the kits cost in Malaysia? Any advise? Cheers

it is best to go with sports suspension as well. but it'll cost more. a set of eibach + bilstein b8 or b6 will cost around close to 4K if im not mistaken. the eibach will be around 1100, and 3K plus for the sport suspension.

the other brand would be bilstein b12, with both sets of spring and suspension but non adjustable.

at the moment im using eibach and stock shocks. pakai sampai kaput baru tuakr plus belum ada bajet for shocks.

Is it true that eibach + bilstein will cost 4K in malaysia? do you know any shop/contact i can call?
here, h&r cup kit cost about 850 pounds. if standard non-adjustable bilstein will be around 90 pound a piece + 150 for eibach spring. May i know what eibach series are you using on your car..any comfortability issue when use with stock absorber.

P/S: i really admire you c230k, especially your wheels.Pasal admire sangat, i just bought amg style IV but 17' size only:p

alamak bro, i've just realized. if i were to buy in malaysia, it's gonna be 4k. but if i buy it here. total is gonna be less than rm 3k. yesterday i calculated wrongly. excited punye pasal:P Can you tell me what kind of eibach spring are you using right now? how low can it bring you car down, 30mm or 40mm? comfort ke tak? bumpy feeling?

around 4 k with bilsten shock

cantik lah lowered

but memang x sedap. the merc feeling xda, naik highway pun bumpy

and then semua joint, ball joint, tyroid, upper arm, lower arm semua rosak

kena tukar.

saya bertaubat xnak pakai aftermarket spring dah

if you want to lowered your ride, the best way is to change your spring rubber

rm20 per piece. 4 side x rm20 rm80

labor rm100

all rm180

and you got lowered ride without sacrifice your comfort.

memang hukum alam lah, nak cantik, perfomance, mesti comfort kena sacrifice.

sedap pakai, kalau nak layan corner,

nak bawak laju,

memang jadi keras dari biasa.

comfort memang hilanglah.

tapi kena kena tau, semua bush, rubber, buffer yang mercedes engineered semua tahan untuk standard.

lagi satu w203 most common problem, memang pada bush bush depan.

bila guna perfomance absober, semua rubber tak tahan, so the tear and wear rate mestilah sangat pantas.

berdasarkan pengalaman lah.lepas 6 bulan dah bunyi squeak kat depan. ball joint kena ganti.

mercedes ni, kalau standard, jalan kelas b malaysia ni selamba je hentam.

tapi bila dah tukar suspension, memang sangat cun, bila lowered, layan corner pun best,

tapi sekali langgar pothole, menangis dengar bunyinya.
and one more thing, tayar mesti makan dalam, dalam one year kena tukar. saya dua kali tayar berasap terkoyak dalam. satu otw ke melaka, satu otw ke bukit jalil.
alignment memang tegak. tapi tayar kena senget sikit.
tu yang makan dalam tu.

the spring rubber, yang standard punya, mercedes je.

ada 4 stage.

stage 1 paling rendah, stage 4 paling tinggi.

pakai lah stage 1 kat depan, stage 2 kat belakang

apapun terpulang pada tuannya, pasal comfort ni subjektif.

bila saya tukar spring dan shocks, orang yang dok belakang keta pun pening, my mom pun pernah termuntah. sedangkan lalu plus highway je. yelah damping rate dah keras kan. so x selesa.

saya pakai w123 ni, standard mandard, dan amat puas hati melangar jalan jalan berliku di kl.

pasal saya tahu, saya beli mercedes, for prestige and ride comfort.
