Doing some preventive maintenance to my w220 last week manage to change both lower arm ,lower ball joints and wheel bearings.lower arm and ball joint installation went om smoothly except for wheel bearing baru tak nak masuk kat spindle try nak masuk bearing lama pon tak boleh, upon close inspection da kesan atas spindle tak rata , alamak takkan nk kena tukar knuckle pulak so my so call temporary solution ,yes u guess it right i sandpaper the spindle part yang bengkak tu sampai i can get the new bearing to glide in smoothly. Everything looks fine and fitted ok,i guess so.Tapi bila start and jalan esp and bas indicator menyala.Start googling ada yg ckp tone ring kotor lah tone ring kena pkai magnet lah.To cut a long story short pegi mekanik yang ada star scanner, scanner report that right front abs sensor malfunction kalau nak tukar rm 4 ratus.Alamak dalam hati berkata tak usik pon sensor tuu.
I kata ngan mekanik tu takpe la the car still diveable.Kena lah upah scan rm60
You know that night ,try that turning steering wheel reset rasa nya saya pusing mau kat 100 kali, tapi indicator light tak padam pon.
Nxt morning try start bawak and suprisingly smua back yo normal. So far da 3 hari everything seems to be normal
So my question is
1)Did i do anything wrong by sanding the spindle,pakai kertas pasir aje pon bukan pakai angle grinder,if not what will be long term side effect
2)what actually triger the malfunction abs and esp and also the airmatic visit wshop indicator pada hal tak usik pon those sensors.
Sorry for the long post just try make things as clear as possible .so that it will benefit siapa2 yang nak diy and the do's and dont's

Thanxs bro , fyi i spend ard rm600 buying parts and diy , u be surprise the amount quoted by mechanics (mentang2 lah mercedes) ada yang nak 3 ribu ada yang smpai 5 ribu pon ada ,, memang la u going to get dirty but i dont mind getting dirty ,,and u will get that personal satisfaction that u accomplish it ..
