RM10k for engine overhaul....w123 250? Dear all,
just received call frm mechanic, inform me to collect the car. i send there for engine overhaul since last 2 month... i think the price really rediculous, overrrrr price. if i know that the price it better for me to change recond engine compare to overhaul, its around 3k only (Hakitrade), issit the price reasoanble? ? i think the price is really kill me, i'm thinking just let go the car, i bought the car for 5.5k only but now the cost to repair the engine it self almost 10k alrdy...pls give me some view  ..tq |

Perhaps he should give you a breakdown of parts changed, engineering work and labour cost, i.e. pistons, rings, sleeves, con rod bearings, gaskets, etc. etc. regards... |

The engine is a M123 inline 6. The same engine that powers the W114 250 and W108 250S. Hmmm.... wonder where have things gone wrong here. What carburetor they are using bro? If not mistaken W123 250 uses the Twin Solex Carburettor. Could you get the breakdown of the cost of overhaul?
