Dear All,\

I need some input and advise from all the seniors and those with experience owning this model.
I have been offered to purchase a 1997 E320 Avantgarde W210 model.
Car was bought new from C&C in 1997 and serviced there till today.It has 150k original mileage,in mint cond and owned by a surgeon who only drives it on weekends.He has offered me the car at Rm 35,000..I checked in mudah and a 1996 is asking 29k.

1) What would be a fair price to buy this car?

2) I have read in this forum that this car has gearbox gremlins if its the 5 speed version.

3) I will be viewing the car tmoro therefore please give me a heads up on what to look out for during the PPI.

4)Is this car worth buying or better to get a E280 instead?

Great engine. Merc fixed the issues that plagued the 300-24 with this one.

Don't no much about the tranny though.
