My car insurance just expired & i need to renew but before doing that just need some opinion on how much i should insure it for. Mercedes C230 (w202) Year 2000 (make & registered) Discount - 55% How much should i insure the windscreen coverage for? Is RM1000 too much or low? My agent is recommending sum insured RM54,000 + RM1000 windscreen coverage. Total after discount RM916 Thanks.

I just insured my windscreen for RM 500 just to cover some eventual lost if something happen to the windscreen.. Total after discount RM916 Thanks. i'm not an insurance agent or broker. i'm a customer. anyways, from what i know, the amount looks about right...only about rm10.00 higher if it was me getting from my agent. better to be safe, than being under insured...car parts are expensive.

Their reminder to renew will follow your current insured value. Currently getting my insurance from Etiqa. Since my renewal is early of the year, I ask the agent for coverage slightly below their current publish value (done in July). Etiqa cover all screen (front, rear and sides) not just the front windscreen.

If your glass doesn't break in 5 years, the money saved can easily buy one from the breaking yard. The ones available locally are made by Malaysian Smelting Glass (MSG)....dheapo, very abrasive prone......some practice in euro are already making the windscrren a wear n tear item....

Bluebug, apart form windshield,try asking for flood and tree fall coverage too..or aka nature disaster..i heard that coverage can be include at different charge.. ps:nowadays after a few hour inside shopping mall,dont be surprised to see your car became submarine at basement car park.. ---------------- make peace not war membership number:five 1 five 1
