Re: HID Kit Modification and Installation on W203/Mercedes Part 2 Again, nice pics and thanks alot. This weekend I'm going to reconfigurate my HID again. After I've installed a digital voltmeter to monitor voltage and every time when the voltage drops, my clock will reset to 1:00. Can't wait to try your method. Will update and share the experience after reconfiguration.

Re: DIY: HID Conversion Kit Modification and Installation on W203/Mercedes. Part 2 Nice posting, nice picture. By the way I notice the ballast located just behind the headlamp and I wonder if this is also the place where the rain water flow from the upper fender !! otherwise your ballast always pour wet by rain water. May be you can cover it with something.

Thanks for the compliment. Right, you noticed that. That pictures was just to show the location to mount the ballast and for the purpose of pictures taking. I bend out the mounting plate so that the ballast is vertical and can be seen. The actual position is still there but hidden underneath that fender frame. Don't worry about rain water. It won't spoil the ballast since its completely sealed.

Re: DIY: HID Conversion Kit Modification and Installation on W203/Mercedes. Part 2 since we all know most after market HID kits are from China, even if it is sealed, I still take precautious step to be safe than sorry. I can see you are indeed a DIY hardcore and is a good one too. My W210 has an original HID come with it liow, otherwise I may consider up grading it too. Good work buddy.

Re: DIY: HID Conversion Kit Modification and Installation on W203/Mercedes. Part 2 Wow Vitamin, this is a great posting! I mean I just got myself a pair of 4300k H7 at RM350. After reading and seeing your pic, went back to check on my ballast and &%$#! They left both of them hangging there! I could see there is a piece of triangle metal plate suppose to screw with the ballast whislt mount onto the car but jesus buddha....Plates are there with the screws tighten but left hangging there...Bannned, totally slashed from my shipping cart list this shop!..! But thanks I now know how to get these back into good shape! Quite a good choice to choose 4300k seems to be road legal yes?
thanks |
